Remember The Milk... (1)

You may be wondering, “What is this title supposed to do at this Technology oriented blog? I’m expecting to find Technology stuff here“.

Don’t worry, you certainly came to the right blog, and this topic is totally related to the blog. At all, you are not mistaken.

Remember The Milk

What about it?

Do you have tasks here and there and every where you should get done?

Want to manage those tasks, but the traditional ways are not working for you?

You are here, at the right place, reading the right article.

So, let us go ahead and discover what “Remember The Milk” is meant to be and meant to do.

“Remember The Milk” is a web application intended to ease your way in managing tasks.

I think that the best way to know “Remember The Milk” is to go ahead and delve inside further. Ready for it?

So, where to go first?

1- Go ahead to this web address: http://www.rememberthemilk.com

2- Click at the “Signup Now!” button.

And, yes, a wonderful thing out there. Do you know what? It is FREE. Totally FREE.

Fill the fields at the “Signup” page, read and accept the “Terms of Use“, and finally, click at the “Signup“button, and that’s it for creating your “Remember The Milk” FREE account.

Just simple as this.

Now, let us login to our account. You can find the “Login” link at the top-right of the page.

Simply enter your “Username” and “Password” and hit the “Login” button.

Now, you may be thinking: “What is that screen in front of me?”

This screen is called the “Overview screen“.

Overview screen?!

Well, this screen is what you will normally see every time you login to your account, you will be able to view what is due today, tomorrow, or have been missed. Yes, everything in front of your eyes.

Add to that the “Weekly Planner” link that will enable you to see your upcoming tasks in a printable format.

You may ask:”But, I really don’t want this page to appear to me every time I login to my account, I just want to go straight ahead to the tasks“.

So simple. Simply click at the “Always skip this page” link.

Now, let us click the “Continue to Tasks” button, or simply at the “Tasks” link at the top right of the page.

What do we have here? Now, you are at the “Tasks screen“.

Let us go now for example to the “Study” tab.

What will we do here?

Good question. Remember that we are on the “Tasks screen“? So, we will be mainly dealing with adding tasks here.

When you have navigated to the “Study” tab, you will notice a Text box having this written in it at the right side of the box: << Add a new task.

Yes, from there we will begin.

So, let us now for example in that box type the following: Completing the Computer Science assignment. Then, hit the “Enter” button at your keyboard.

What are you supposed to see in order to say that you have completed this successfully?

You are supposed to see this happening:

1- An orange rectangle appearing at the top of the page confirming that the task you have typed in the text box has been added.

2- The task shown below in green with a check box beside it.

Notice that the top orange rectangle and its content will disappear after seconds and the green one will just have the color disappear.

Was that the case with you? Excellent, you are done with adding your first task using Remember the milk.

Now, you may be wondering:”I have added my task now. What is the big deal? Just adding it and that is it?”

If that was the case, I wouldn’t have written this article at all.

So, what to do now?

You are supposed now to be having the task: “Completing the Computer Science assignment” along with a checkbox beside it.

What can we do now?

To be continued… PART [2]
